As a child I would go into stores with my mom and wherever there was a piano or a keyboard, I was drawn to it. And I would play and there was nothing more exciting or beautiful to me than those moments when it felt like a part of me was complete. That curiosity and passion is what allowed me to get my first piano at 17, while I was playing one in a thrift store. The manager of that store enjoyed it and offered it to my mom and I for even more of a bargain, she purchased within days and everything else is history! Until then I played my heart out on plastic Casio keys that were gifted to me and anything else I would come across. And to this day I think I have a superpower for being able to tell when a piano is near me- and when I find it, you better believe I'm gonna play.
