The inspiration for this song was a simple bumper sticker, "Don't California my Tennessee." This song is about how some folks may think about others who move into their state or, as some might see it "invade". It's an ironic song because I'm from California now, living in the beautiful state of Tennessee. Tennesseans are proud, and I appreciate their passion for an uncomplicated, slower lifestyle.
