About this contest
Perform the national anthem live at Coconut Hoops 2026, sung or played. Coconut Hoops brings women's college basketball to Alico Arena in Fort Myers, FL over Thanksgiving weekend, with Tennessee and FGCU among the teams. We are looking for TWO performers, singers or musicians on any instrument: one performs the national anthem before the game on Friday, Nov 27 at 6:30 PM, and one before the game on Sunday, Nov 29 at 6:30 PM. How it works: 1. Post a video of you performing the anthem, sung or played on your instrument, the way you would do it in the arena, and enter it here. It is free. 2. Fans vote. When voting closes, the 5 entries with the most votes become the finalists. 3. Coconut Hoops picks the 2 winners from the 5 finalists. Votes get you into the top 5. They do not guarantee a win: the winners are chosen by Coconut Hoops from the finalists. Singers and musicians on any instrument, from anywhere, can enter. The winners perform live, in person, at Alico Arena.
Entries come up in a random order every visit, so nobody gets an edge from where they sit.
